Well I'm home and all the other members should be soon. The GTG was pretty fun in my opinion and I'm sure everyone else would say the same.

We had 7 cars:
4 turbo diesels
2 Euro 300d's
1 240d

Patrick (Kraugs) has the most amazingly clean car out of everyone. Photos don't do justice for how nice it looks. All the others were just as nice, just not as shiny.

So we met in Cambria and hung out at the gas station for awhile talking and such and decided to drive down to Pismo. The drive was pretty fun with a 6 car convoy and quite a bit of black smoke and all that. We pulled into Morrow Bay and took some photos by the giant rock and got some viedo and stuff before continuing on our way south. The rest of the drive was the same with smoke and such and a lot of nice Benz's cruising down the coast.

I didn't get too many digital photos but Patrick and Garret sure did plus a ton of video. I'm sure they will all be in a gallery. For the time being here are a few photos of the cars and such.

I just got home, Curtis, Julie and I went to dinner at around 9pm after leaving Pismo at around 6:45pm. Wow I am so amazed at this car. It just drives and drives and drives!

689 miles total for me! On one run I was able to achieve 28.8mpg, or 29mpg!! This was mostly at 70mph.

So basically from my point of view, Obaja and I met up at the Arco station near Benzoid123's place. From there Benzoid123 escorted us to the 101 and a bit further until we had to part ways. So Obaja and I continued on towards Cambria but 83turbodiesel called me up on the way and said they were at Pismo Beach, so we headed there, missed the exit and turned around. Met up with them, had clam chowder, checked the cars out and convoyed (4 cars) towards Cambria, where I already had a nearly empty tank, luckily there was a station there. Unfortunately it was $3.41/gal but oh well. Met up with Boardmonger, Diametricalbenz and Dieselkraut22 who were waiting along. Hung around the Shell station then headed towards Pismo Beach, but Diametricalbenz had to stay behind so all 300D's went along towards a suburban area, and then chatted a while, then headed towards Morro Bay where 83turbodiesel's brother did donuts with Dieselkraut22's Euro! Oh man you just have to be there! Then we took LOTS of pics, Dieselkraut22 took video footage of us driving, convoying, racing, etc...

From there we went back to Pismo Beach where Diametricalbenz was waiting. We then grabbed food and then 83turbodiesel and his brother had to go with their relatives/friends so they went ahead. Meanwhile Dieselkraut22, Diametricalbenz and me had a nice chat and DK even jump started somebody's car. From there we parted out at ~6:45pm and I followed Diametricalbenz since we're both going the same way. Grabbed food at 9pm and I took videos, I think Curtis also did take some.

Oh well, here is the cast in case anybody gets them confused!! [:D]

Karugs = Patrick
Benzoid123 = Patrick
Obaja = Marshall
83turbodiesel = Samson
Samson's brother = Patrick
Dieselkraut22 = Garrett
Boardmonger = Zack
Diametricalbenz = Curtis

Pics to come!

Curtis and I were talking about a detailing day we could hold in one afternoon, or maybe if it's possible, in an overnight DIY weekend we could all hold at somebody's place. That way we could share lots of help, tips and tricks, get the best results by combining our heads, and have more fun [:p][:p]

Another would be like a DIY day for fixing up stuff. How about a V-Day for our cars? Yes, a valve adjustment day [:D] (let's give our cars some love...)

Or what if, we could also invite more people. Njview, Dbtk and Benzoid123 could now join us the whole time. Hopefully we get more members than just us (and grow in size). Then eventually we could make our own little 123CC (123 California Club) or something (make up a club name.

My house is ideal for the detailing meeting. My driveway and backyard is like a flight deck on an aircraft carrier. I'd say from front to back I could fit 10 cars. This is very dangerous since I could buy several classics AND have room for them all! [:)]
Just let me know when. Fridays and Saturdays are my days off from work. We could detail and barbeque too!

Man Yesterday was awesome...what a great turnout! Im so glad i decided to join my brother (83turbodiesel) and drive my emerald benz. Yea it was rather an ironic situtation, we drive 20+ yrs old cars and most of the GTG'ees were relatively the same age 17-25 exception to Curtis jk man. The drive from Cambria to Morro Rock was my favorite part of the GTG. ESP that lil hilly road, reminded me of the authentic Euro-Terrain these cars actually were made for. Next time we meet, i highly suggest we drive on OLD CREEK ROAD. Its a small hilly road next to Morro Bay. I promise it will be the drive of your life!!

Very nice pictures. I just wish I would have taken more. I did take a few B&W's so maybe next time we meet up I can make some prints for you guys.

So when's the next meet? [:D]

My friend Mike (doubt he will be able to bring the 240) but he will come to the next one and I'll make sure my brother is there as well.

Patrick, those two videos didn't upload properly.

Can't wait to see all of Garrett's stuff.

One last post. Kraugs would you mind if everyone sent you all of their photos in high resolution? If so then we can have one big gallery and we can all have all of them. I'll send you mine tonight and I have a short video I'll try to upload.

Next GTG I'll bring a bbq and we can bring meat and soda and chips and stuff. Next one will only be better.

Zack I don't mind you guys sending me the images. Thanks for the extremely awesome pics!!! [:D] If my camera was just a bit smaller I could have taken a few while we were racing.

The video I uploaded should be active in a while I don't know why it's not loading.

Here's my speedo vid:

The other one is still pending but it should be working after a few more mins (larger size).

Marsh those are very nice images, I wish I took pics of Patrick's 84 while I was behind him. There was one part of the 101 or 405 where there were only three lanes. I planned (really wanted to do this) to drive on Patrick's right side while you drove on his left that way we could convoy side by side [8D]

Damn Patrick, thats fast. On the way home I got the euro up to 155km or about 95 mph on the flats. I think it could go to 100, maybe a little more on a hill.

I am currently getting together a w123 member list from this forum and others so once we get an idea when and where the next meet will be I'll send out emails to everyone so we can get some wagons and coupes and an even bigger event.
