Hi

My C55 has the error "Light Sensor Drive To Workshop"

The only issue that I can see is that both front sidelights (the small capless wedge bulbs) are not switching on.

All other lights work fine.

I cannot find any reference to front sidelight fuses? is there a fuse?

Could it be that the light sensor is switching off these lights?

I have tried new bulbs - same problem.

Put the old bulbs in another car - they work fine.

Switching the lights from Auto to manual all seems ok.

Other forums suggest that the light sensor problem is caused by a faulty/old battery.

This is a UK car.

Happy to be an idiot (if I have missed the obvious) the car is new to me and the error message when I bought it.

Regards

Bruce

I recently replaced my side marker bulbs, and am having trouble getting the new bulbs to work consistently. The problem seems to be that the old bulbs somehow got corroded, and now the sockets don't make proper electrical contact. Just need to give them a proper cleaning.

No idea about the fuse.
