The w202 is a little foreign to me, especially the 4.3 AMG motor. I'm looking for a car that I can mod and drive hard without worrying about the value. Probably going to try drifting and track driving. I found a 98' C43 with 200k miles for about $3000.00. I think the price is ok for a car that runs and has AC. As for mods- is this car pretty well maxed out or can I get a lot more out of it with bolt on parts and/ or a bottle? Will it handle a bottle? Supercharger? Any info appreciated.

You may have a hard time finding a supercharger for that car. I looked at putting a Kleeman in mine ~ 3 years ago and there were only a small handful left (they stopped making them for that car). Also, I went to a tuner shop that worked on MB's at that time, and they were going to sell me the supercharger and do the install. They talked me out of it saying, it was a waste of money since the chassis/tires/weight could not handle much more power than the car already had. I believed them since they were willing to turn away the business, telling me it was a waste of money.

It is a great car on it's own. I'ave had some great cars - new viper etc. ang I've had my C43 for 12 + years since new and it is one of my all time favorites. There are other mods besides (or in addition to) supercharger that I am sure you can do.
