I have just purchased a C43 and wanted to change the front grille to mimic the C63 to give the front that aggressive look, so bought one off eBay after being told this particular grille would fit, only to buy it, put the car in a garage and receive a call to say the grille didn't fit. The problem was the Mercedes badge never had fittings to clip to the new grill, meaning the radar never fitted

Any suggestions / help would be much appreciated

The radar is fitted separately to the emblem and sits behind it.

Yes, I know that, but the emblem doesn’t fit to the 3rd party grille I bought. Probably didn’t explain this at the beginning. Want to know If anyone out there has carried out the same work to their vehicle and where they went

I have changed mine to the panamericana grill and it fitted straight in. When you buy your replacement grill you need to make sure of the size of the emblem. There is quite a few different sizes these days. When you say it doesn’t fit is the diameter of the emblem the same.

The emblem removed from the existing didn’t fit onto the after market grille due the diameter difference and no fixing points. Could you send me you sellers details ?

Did you take the emblem from the original or did you renew the emblem as well

It’s the original emblem from the C43 diamond grill. I think from memory there is a tag you pull back and then give it a twist and pull.
