Has anyone had experience driving the C43 on the racetrack? (hard and properly for laps - not one of the "track experience" days that amount to some learning and 3/10ths driving).

I would like to know how the brakes hold up under heavy repeated braking on the track.

I had a 996 911Turbo which I took on the track (LVMS) and it was the first car that I didn't need to worry about my braking technique too much. I could just pummel that brake pedal as hard and long and as often as I needed and no brake fade at all. Other cars I had to be very careful of braking technique - doing most of the braking in the first 1-2secs of applying the brake etc etc.

The C43 has larger brakes than my 996 Turbo had. C43 has 360x36mm at the front, my 996TT had 330x28mm. From an engineering perspective the C43 should be better, I couldn't imagine needing anything larger. I can only assume larger brakes like on the C63 is more for aesthetic purposes, because I can't see real-world, racetrack situations needing more than the C43 has.

So my Bottom-line question: has anyone had real, hard racetrack experience in the C43 (with completely stock brakes) and can you tell me what your experience was regarding brake fade (if any).

I would imagine you would need a racing type pad fitted to the car for proper race type use. I wouldn’t think a stock pad is going to cut it. The brakes are plenty big enough for the job.

Thanks for that. Yep well aware I can use higher temp/race pads and high temp fluid. That's not my question.

My question is simply - with the stock rotors/pads/fluid has anyone pushed the brakes hard enough to generate significant fade, and if so under what circumstances did it happen.

To clarify - I am looking to purchase a 2020 C43 and have a concern over the brakes - esp as standard around the track. In theory they seem more than ample, but want to hear from actual owners who have pushed the car to see what they experienced.
