Actually, its out of the SL600 due to the torque requirments needed. I agree though, it may not fit up to the 2.8L in the your vehicle.

Actually the trans, rear end and driveline are from a E420, the only SL600 parts on the C36 were the front rotors/calipers (rears were from a e420).<br> <br> The C36 started life as a C280, so any parts on a C36 can be retro fitted to a C280. I am not sure how much modification would be required though.

Correction to my last post, the trans, rear end and driveline are actually from the 500E, which those parts came from the E420 and were modified to handle the additional torque of the 500E motor. <br> <br> Just wanted to clear that up.
