Newbie here. Since there's a MY03 ML350 and a E350 this fall, will there be a C350 soon? I'm thinking about buying a 2003 C320 with the 2.9% ad MBUSA is running. I just don't want to buy it and find out a C350 is coming this fall. TIA.

I seriously doubt the C will get the 3.7 this fall, if ever. I have read that the 3.7 is sort of an interim engine.

I'm still waiting for confirmation, but it is highly unlikely that this will happen. It is likely however, that the new direct injection engines, whenever they come out, will have more horses and better fuel economy []

First Time Benz Owner

Well, after shopping around for a few days, I bought my first Mercedes. I was looking for a brilliant silver C320 with C2, C4, CD changer, 5-speed auto, and full ash leather.

No dealer in the LA area had one, so I settled with a C320WZ in brilliant silver. It came with C2, C4, Comand, CD changer, 5-speed auto, and charcoal leather inserts. I wheeled and dealed down to $38,931. Out the door with taxes and fees was $42,191. How did I do on the price?

Should I buy an extended warranty? I read several posts regarding M-B electrical gremlins across the entire product line. My Honda has been relatively problem free after 55,000 miles.

if I will get the $1,690.00 premium/no deductable MB warranty for 7years/100,000 miles from Liza @ Chico, CA.

or

$1989.00 no deductable for 10 years/100,000 miles. Non MB Warranty. any thought. I have one for my ML from the same company, that's why I got a little break on premium

$1990 for my warranty

I bought the 7 year/100,000 warranty from my dealer for $1990. He only gave me 24 hours to think it over. So far I love my Benz, especially the bi-xenon. I can't believe how bright they are. The only thing sucks is I already have a paint chip. A dump truck was dropping little pieces of concrete chips all over the freeway. ARRRRH!!![!]

If you are thinking to get a MB Warranty you might as well get it from Lisa for 1690$ 7/100,000 you can save 300$ for your next mod.

Ah.. chips I have the same thing, just right on top of Driver side bi-Xenon my wife drop a cloth hanger and OUCHHHHHHH fixed it with a Langka right away.[][][]What is Langka?... Here: www.langka.com

24 hours, that's crazy!! MB gives you up to one year from purchase date to get the extended warranty. However, they are strict about enforcing the one year policy. I might get one after a year, see how much I still like the car. I like getting new cars every 2 years (like, doesn't mean it always happens!), so I'll think about it.

The 24 hours was for the 7 years/100,000 miles warranty at a 6 years/100,000 miles warranty price. I had a year to decide if I wanted to pay full price for the extended warranty.

like if you waited a week he would not honor the deal....

IMHO I don't put up with high pressure sales approaches, unless it is the last item on inventory or some sort of open-box kind of deal, the deal will be there tomorrow and the next day also, and probably a month after that.

I usually bug them (salespeople) for a while, until they can't afford not sell me something for my price. []
