Has anyone come across common issues where the car goes into limp mode when kick down activated. Car runs normal otherwise but as soon as the lockdown switch is activated and the boost increases it goes to limp mode.

Has a friend that resets it, and I can drive the car no trouble as long as I don't touch the kick down switch.

Where can I start looking?

If your friend is clearing it for you he should be able to pull a code. Get the car scanned with a pro level scanner that can read transmission codes
