Has anyone had this problem? We've had this car 10 months and just suffered our second destroyed ECM. The plastic "bucket" it sits in under the hood filled with rain water after some heavy storming in the spring leading to a $2000 replacement and assurance from our mechanic that it was caused by plugged drains which had hence been cleaned. Fast forward to last week's heavy rains and the replacement unit was again submerged in 1-1/2" of water. The plastic cover was secured in place with no apparent damage. I'm growing weary of replacing expensive components on this car and regret the day I purchased it. Very bad experience for our first Mercedes.

obviously the mechanic didnt unplug all the drains (or they got plugged again)

i would take your car to a different mechanic and find out which drain he didnt unplug

and somehow get a refund from the first mechanic or compenhesion
