Hi!
I recently bought a C32 AMG project car and i have run out of ideas.
The car runs normal and drives real nice at low rpm (under 4k rpm) but when i accelerate with wide open throttle it will throw a CEL when it hits 4k rpm? It feels like it cuts the ignition/fuel for a split second and then it will run very sluggish. It runs on just a few cylinders when the CEL comes at acceleration and the codes are: -Random multiple cylinder missfire and like Cylinder 2 misfire, Cylinder 6 misfire etc. It sometimes also throws a code for: -Intake manifold absolute pressure high and this comes at the same time when accelerating.

i have tried changing the plugs and wires, the whole fuel pump unit, the fuel filter, map sensor, cleaned the air filters, cleaned the throttle body.

i have the exhaust taken out of the car now and will replace the catalytic converters for high flow ones to see if the problem is there.

If someone could help, it would be very helpful because i need to get it running good. Even if you have some small ideas let me know. Thanks in advance!

Did you ever get to the bottom of this issue you had ? Because i have the same thing on my c32 amg. Im thinking maybe some sort of vacuum leak under load but thought would ask you first.
