Does anyone have any ideas? I am working on a 1996 c280 and what happened is drove to work one day no problems and went out next morning to go to work would not start. there seems to be no spark. Ran scanner on car and there were air flow codes. Car turns over great just will not start.

I had something like this happen (would crank but not start) In my case, I was able to take out the crank position sensor, wipe all the residue off of it (there was a thin film of oil on it) and put it back in. That seemed todo the trick for me.

Could just as well be a fuel pump. Turn off radio and all accessories. Turn off car. Move key to on position. You should hear fuel pump run for one or two seconds.

Or you could spay a small amount of stater fluid into intake. If it is a fuel problem, it should run on the starter fluid for a second or two.
