Hi folks, looking for a little help here.

I've replaced the glow plugs and air filter, oil filter and oil in my C270 CDi. The car now cranks over but will not fire.

I've tried a code reader but it won't tell me what code is that is stored, only that there is one there (i know, crap reader).

Any suggestions on what i can try before i have to call out a Merc specialist?

I see crank position sensor mentioned? Do these suffer the same problem as with the K40 relays?

The battery in the boot was replaced a couple of months ago after the old one died in our cold weather, this has been running fine for a couple of months. Have recharged it and the level is 100% charge and 98% health so i'm confident that's ok.

Anything else i can try?

Cheers,

Have spoken to the Mercedes dealer and he has mentioned it could be the K40 relay.

Does anyone know where that is located on a C270 CDi? Does it even have one?

Managed to get the codes read P0800 it's showing. From what i can gather that's a transmission fault?

Anyone shed some more light on that?
