Re: I cancelled BMW 330 Ci, and will be going to Sindelfingen to pick up my C240 6 spd, Cant wait...

That's great. Still, for some reason, every car magazine review I read says the BMW kicks the MB butt up and down the line. I love my 330Ci and will continue to enjoy blowing the doors of geriatrics and accountants driving the 240's. Cheers.

Can any one provide 2001 C240 US options and price listing. I am torn, since I have a pending Euro delivery BMW 330 Ci (5 spd and loaded) , and I am strongly considering switching to a C240 Euro delivery. What drove me away from MB, was no stick shift and lack of fun. Couple years ago I had done a Euro del on an E300, but that another story...
I need to react quickly, a dealer said he might be able to lock me Euro del, early Oct.
Thanks in advance
Someone posted up there. Euro delivery is really a great experience. Driving out on the Autobahn, etc. But this should not be a reason to get a car, IMHO. I think the C240 is a class on it's own. The BMW 3 series is everywhere. The MB's are more distinguished and by far a better car. This generally speaking. I say go with the MB forget the BMW.
Regards,
Jonathan
: Can any one provide 2001 C240 US options and price listing. Euro delivery of C240 or BMW 330 Ci (5-spd)

The C240 or C320 with the 5-speed automatic and TouchShift is worth considering instead of the new 6-speed manual. The beauty of TouchShift is that you have both a 5-speed automatic transmission for tedious, heavy traffic with a lot of stop and go, AND a 5-speed manual for fun on the twisty bits--without having to depress a clutch. To downshift simply tap the console lever to the left, and repeat to go down another gear. Tap to the right to go up a gear, or hold to the right for a couple of seconds and the automatic goes right back up to 5th gear.
