I have a 99 c230 and have had this problem ever since i changed the battery about 6 months ago. Basically, the windows, the central locking system, and the mirrors quit working. I disconnect the negative battery cable for a few seconds and everything starts working again for a few days. Then the same problem happens again. I have gone through this process roughly once a week for the last 6 months and would like to know if anyone has any idea what the problem is.

Thanks so much for the help.

not sure, but if you have the benz manual look under window synchronization. this could be your problem. I just put a radar detector on my car using the power line from the sunroof, hence I had to disconnect the power to the sunroof motor. Once I had everything hooked back together. My sunroof would not open with just one click, it just moved a bit then stop per button push over and over to get it all the way open. found out that some electrical components after loosing power need to be synchronized by taking them to either full position (open/close) and holding the button there for 2+ seconds. hope this helps.
