I am only hitting the wot on the throttle body when i depress the kickdown switch with the throttle pedal. Is this factory set or is something wrong.

Full throttle, from the pedal without kick down switch depressed leaves me a circa 7mm gap till the throttle stop on the throttle body. When i push the pedal further to depress kick down switch the throttle then takes up the 7mm gap and hits the wot stop.

i would think to check entire throttle linkage arms/set screw positions as well as throttle cable adjustment. This distance may be too long in a variety of spots

if it were shorter you would reach WOT sooner, the fact you reach it while activating kick-down-switch tells me there is too much distance either in the cable or linkage arms, distance needs to be shorted. After these are adjusted there may be a difference in shifting pattern as well
