Unlike the W126 some say the 140 coupe is unattractive from some angles, and as an owner I'd have to agree. But... the thing is the shape grows on you in a very meaningful way. Yes, the 215 is pretty and the W140 is statesmanlike (if clean), but the C140 is a very original design. However, over time the words that spring to mind are coldly imposing, understated and also magnificent. For there is nothing else quite like it in this wolrd of toothpaste tube cars. It has a real sense of imposing occasion about it, more so than even the sedan. i suggest this is because the design does have quite a degree of inacessible aesthetics to it.thoughts?

I like the coupe, but the big star from the grill has to go. I've never liked it on any Mercedes(too...much advertisement). The coupe is mysterious car, and the car with the big star is a turnoff since i do not like lowered or large cartoon wheels.I think the car needs the star emblem at the front of the hood to indicate dominance and power as most other models have it.
The rear of the car looks great; The rear looks great in any color, The front of the car looks best in white and then black; Gold in a distant third even though all my Mercedes are all gold, but on the coupe gold does not go well in the front-much like a convertible-A convertible is on great in the three glamor colors-white, black and red. I like the 97 Plus years-no more silver/grey on the bumper range, common one-piece DIN climate control module, and of course a 722.6xx transmission
