Hi,

Yes, don't just keep re setting Codes that's not really achieving anything, like Dean says there's a whole lot more to DAS, live Data and Figures, various Procedures etc etc ;)

Oliver also recently had an issue I've not had in a while now, so long I had forgotten about it :big laugh: .......................

The Strut Harnesses do give grief sometimes, may need swapping, or cleaning up connections ;)

Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave and Dean,
The battery disconnected did not work. Thank God i only had to synchronize the windows and the sunroof. I am shooting to get to the DAS either today or tomorrow. My friend will give it to me to bring it home on the weekend since he is off. Unfortunately i do not have much experience with it. Last time i used it, i had to bother Dave lol hence i was waiting on my friend to check it for me. I mean i am familiar with the basics. Checking for faults, clearing them. Resetting the ride height and looking at the values but as far as the live data and what to look for that i haven't done. So mean time i have been reading a lot and ran into few posts and even a bulletin where they mention to check the plugs/connectors after washing a car
Especially the level sensor ones and the strut ones like you guys suggested. So while i wait for the Das, i am taking my wheels off and checking/cleaning the connectors with some contact cleaner. Any pointers on the Das will be appreciate it. Thank you.

If it helps, the plugs that we removed and cleaned were just to the left of the level sensor. There are two plugs that go into the same hole that are held in by a retaining clip.
I was surprised at how exposed they are to the elements.

Thank you Ollie,
That definitely helps. Any way you can take a pic of them please?? I am going after every plug / connector at this point ?
Ps: Don't worry on the pic. I just read your post and realised that those are the connectors that plug into the strut. They are on my list ?
Thanks again.

I wish I had taken a photo while it was up in the air with the wheel off.
I will go downstairs to the garage later and raise up the car and see if I can get a photo. It was very easy to get to. With the wheel off, follow the wire that plugs into the strut to where it plugs into the body - where the strut mounts at the top, it's just on the left a little lower down.
I will try to get a photo but if it doesn't come out right, I have WIS so I will also check that now

Well guys, jacked the car up this afternoon and cleaned both front height sensors and strut sensors plugs/connectors with contact cleaner. No difference. Car still rides stiff :(

Sorry to hear this Doni. I feel your pain.
Did you try putting it into sport ii mode and driving for a bit?
This is the extent of my technical knowledge. I wonder if the airmatic control module has gone bad?
Good luck, hope to see some good news soon.

Thanks Ollie,
I appreciate all you have to offer and yes I drove in both modes of suspension. Suspension 1 and suspension 2 but no change. Obviously there is an issue and I was really hoping that cleaning the Connectors would have fixed it since majority of threads that I have read in the past few days say to do just that. Car still does not drop or lean on any sides and the code has not come back. At this point I did all I could do on my own and have no choice but to wait for the DAS and do more testing. Like I said earlier, it sux because I just got back from the same story not too long ago and was really enjoying the car once again. Guess I jinxed myself lol

I had a problem with a similar sensor on my S65 with ABC. I bought a new one with a superseded part number. Fitted it and the system would not work at all.
I also have an S55 and swapped the sensor and everything worked.
Once I checked the data stream the new sensor had a much higher and different reading than the rest of the sensors. Mercedes said that you have to change all the sensors to the new number for the system to work.
Screw that and bought a used sensor with the old part number and everything came back to life again.
Hope that may help.

Hi Rog,
It is funny because I just ran into your story about 30 min ago and it gave me some hope :smile I am going on e-bay and buy one with the same exact number just like you did. Hopefully I will have the same results...It's just crazy that the new ones would not work. You would think they work under the same frequency. Anyhow ebay here I come. Thanks Rog!!

PS: Rog, I just purchased one from e-bay. It says it is for an E500 but it had the same exact part number as mine and it was the same year. Keeping my fingers crossed at this point.

How's the car Doni? Were you able to get the smooth ride back?
Thanks
Ollie
Morning Oliver,

Well yes and no lol I went and checked it with Das the day that i was supposed to and found out that my leveling sensor in the front driver side was reading higher than the rest so we messed with it a little and it seemed a lot better but we left it at that since that very afternoon i had to go get a meniscus surgery and i was running late. Actually i was supposed to be in Mississauga on the 27th for my brother in law's 60th birthday party but the surgery took care of that. So with that being said, i haven't moved much since then. Trying to recover from the surgery and once I am able will get to it again. One other thing was that when i removed the driver side tire to check the connecter i discovered that the tire had a little bulge on the inside wall. So now waiting for the new tire to come in and get that swapped as well. Just glad that i found it now vs driving on the highway and getting a blow out. So i will change the tire and then most likely recalibrate the ride once again. Will update the thread once I am able to walk again and get to the bottom of it ?

Any news? I seem to be having a similar issue with my 2004 e320. Left rear bag would drain out. Replaced compressor, valve, and rear height sensor and now it sits low in the rear. Hold air fine but it seems to try and pump up but lowers right after... I have a scanner that pulls the same code, reset and same thing. I can see values for the sensors but not sure what to look for...

Think you have the wrong thread. I didn't have any problem with my bags
