I've contemplated getting a tailgate filler panel for my truck and was having a look at the pictures in your gallery. It seems that the filler panel crease lines up perfectly on the right (looking from the back) but at the left the filler panel line sits a little below the bumper line. How well does it really line up with the older bumper?

It's really up to you to adjust how you want it to fit, but on the tailgate itself or by adjusting the height of the bumper.

I must say that I doubt flex/movement of the frame vs body would be enough to be visible in any gaps on the ML (maybe on a Dodge/GMC etc. [:)] ).
But only if you know where to look and if you look carefully [:)]
