If that is as good as the engine in the SLK350, that's one heck of a motor. Has lots of power and sounds great. I could never justify the C320 SS over the C230 SS as the it's faster but not worth the $8K difference, a C350 would be worth the difference.
But think about it, that's what people buying the C350 are going to say about the C320. I think the improvement will be huge between the C320 and C350. Look at the SLK, the SLK350 is about full second quicker from 0-60 than the SLK320. The difference between the C230 and C320 is about 1/2 that.
There's a long piece about the new 320 CDI (diesel) and C 350 at <a href="http://http://www.germancarfans.com/news.cfm/NewsID/2050124.002/mercedes/1.html"><font color="red">GermanCarFans.com</font></a>, including a picture gallery <a href="http://www.germancarfans.com/photos.cfm/PhotoID/3050124.001/mercedes/1.html"><font color="red">here</font></a>.<br>
These are a few of the images of the C350 Sport:<br><center>
The first link in my message should have been to the story in <a href="http://www.germancarfans.com/news.cfm/NewsID/2050124.002/mercedes/1.html" target="blank" title=" new window will open "><font color="red">GermanCarFans.com</font></a>.<br>
Sorry (I'm new at this!).<br>
One day recently on my way to work I was playing to see how Kermit and Kaspar compared to each other. Here's what I discovered:
Kermit - '04 C 320C
Kaspar - '05 SLK 350
320 C = 4th gear at 4000 rpm was 75 mph with 2000 more rpm before redline and two more gears to go.
SLK 350 = 4th gear at 4000 rpm was just over 90 with 2400 more rpm before redline and two more gears to go - "Kaspar" (note: this vehicle only has 1100 miles therefore I didn't go above 4000 rpm - in time more mileage will be put on the car and the rpms will be increased)
Definite difference in the cars. We were driving the SLK on Sunday and based on speed and rpm, projected tod end mph was 171 mph, unfortunately for US specs they are governed for less than that (something like 150+/-)
Honestly not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but it's not really cool to flaunt having a nice car at such a young age. I'm in the same shoes as you buddy, and people hate us for drivin these cars while young.
One of the most difficult things I find is trying to gain respect from people, doing whatever it takes to try to earn these things. It feels like sometimes I/we are discriminated upon if we're well-off...and we won't get respect havin' one unless we started off poor. I'm trying to work my ass off and save up for a new benz that I plan to pay for myself and gas/insurance or whatever necessary (move out and pay for my own place...etc.). I been saving for 4 years so far...
Again, I didn't mean to judge you...just a fellow member of the forum, so don't get me wrong.
P.S. not trying to sound stupid (though i probably will) but what exactly does it mean by 'hijackin your post'? I think I know but i'm still new at these forum termz...
