I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor Sport , it has 101.000 miles with full service history.
I have had a recurring Abs/Asr light on my dash.

it used to go on and off 3 or 4 times a day, now its on all the time.

so far I have changed the Brake pedal switch - cost £10+ vat from mercedes dealer.

then a Battery, I removed and cleaned all 4 abs sensors and cleaned them, I also removed and cleaned Alternator regulator (voltage regulator), the light didnt even flicker. (£22.50 + vat)

so Now on monday it goes on the computer for the fault code.

I have just serviced the gearbox, filter , gaskets and oil, I stripped the selector down and cleaned the s/w switch and greased all the moving parts, fitted new brake pads. (im a mechanic)

If you live in Central Scotland I could maybe help with sourcing parts or somewhere to get your car on the computer, Mercedes wanted to charge me £90+vat to read fault codes thats with my trade discount, I have it booked for monday at a cost of £30 - no vat.

my dad has a 2002 C220 CDi, I have a little knowledge about that also.

If you need any help - send me a private message and I will try and help you.
