It seams to me that is some kind of speaker switch...(that icon looks like a speaker to me!)

Could it have something to do with the headlights? or maybe some rear fogs or something?

I do not think so... All the light switch are in the lower left side of the dash at the W126 (foglamps too). Anyway...As I see the picture is taken from a german forum. mb.Galerie.de !

Yes, it is. That isn't my car. I'm just interested about the button.

From what year and model of MB is this from?
I don't know. I have only this picture. Now the car is removed from the gallery.

There is such a button in W210 E-class:

Ejector seat. Clearly the switch depicts a seat with an arrow going thru the roof.

Oh wait, thats wrong. Horn tone. Yeh thats it.

... Horn tone ...

Then it must be the updated version of the two tone horn switch from the Gen I (like I have in my 280SE).

That appears to be the floor mat auto-vac button. Those MBZ engineers thought of everything.

I seem to remember test driving an 89 SEL and there was a button on the dash that you could toggle and get an Alpine horn or a different sounding horn. Tap your horn and listen and then toggle the button and tap again.
