I am having a slight burning smell coming from the center vents. I also got a light puff of smoke. The motor seems to be working fine at all speeds but I still suspect the motor windings may be going bad. I'm getting a phenolic / electrical component smell.

Can someone tell me if there is something else in the blower duct work that could be burning up.

The weather and temperature is supposed to be good in two days so I intend to open it up at that time.

I noticed a burning smell after replacing my old blower motor. It was gone after a few hours. Sorry, I know that doesn' help you much.

But there are lots of electrical components right underneath the plastic grill that keeps shit from falling into the space where the blower motor is located. Don't understand how water doesn't get in there and short some circuits.
