Well I am the proud new owner of a 1993 500SEC with about 125,000 miles on it. It is in terrific shape and has been well serviced. One of the reasons I purchased the 93 was because I ran the VIN with my local MB dealer and found the evaporator core had been replaced at 37000 under warranty so that made me feel a little better about the purchase.

It also has the built-in OKI phone in the dash that I know is an analog unit. I took it by my local Verizon dealer yesterday and they said it would only work with a company that provides analog service. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a kit that will make the unit digital so I can use it. It would be a waste if I couldn't. I also wonder if someone makes a replacement unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

No replacement that anyone has reported. But, you can DIY a very nice

Bluetooth capable phone per pchansen1's directions. Search his username or "bluetooth" in this forum or look at the Publications section.

He did an amazing installation.
