It's bug season in CA, all kinds of bug jerky after you go 10 miles. We do you guys use to remove all the bug mess? Obviously, a scratchy mesh bug mitt could harm the paint. I guess there's no easy solution, except keep your car in the garage.
If they aren't baked on a normal car wash microfiber mitt with car wash solution should work fine. Don't ever let them get baked on, because bugs have an acidic nature that will eat though your clear coat and 'burn' or 'pit' your paint.
Most good waxes will also remove bugs, without the worry of etching the paint with harsher products. Detailing spray also works if you let it soak on the soiled area for few minutes prior to wiping off.
Greetings, is there an additive that is trusted that can be added to the water and soap? I know the Benz dealer says they’re detail shop leaves no spots but wouldn’t share the product.
By the way, what’s the best soap to use? I have a new car 😊
Just got the car on Memorial day. Paint looked ok, but horizontal surfaces were rough...really rough. So break out the clay
After clay, hit it with a quick coat of Megs #7 then #26. looked pretty good
Until I saw it under LED light...
once again, yuck!
Guys and gals....this is absolutely the best product to use on vinyl and rubber surfaces both inside and out on all your vehicles.
You can find it occasionally at the auto parts stores, but your best bet (and least expensive) is to just purchase a gallon jug online. I've
been using this product...
