As noted in a previous post, no one at the dealer mentioned a break-in period to me when I picked up my car yesterday. Given the misinformation I did receive, that may be a good thing.

Can someone please share with me what the break-in requirements are for the 350?

page 272 of the operator's manual:

during the first 1000 miles, varying but moderate vehicle and engine speeds... avoid heavy loads, full throttle, high rpm's... no engine braking by downshifting on manuals, avoid kickdown on autos, "C" mode only in autos.

Thanks... I drove all the way home in "S" mode[:(]

My dealer erroneously told me to break it in in "S" mode. I did not like the lurchiness of the low gears and the next day I read that it should be driven in "C" mode for break in. I prefer the C mode since I'm not inclined to be shifting it a lot anyway. It just seems a lot smoother for my tastes.

Enjoy!!!
