Where the coils fit down on the plugs they have holes for a locating screw,and the other one is brass or bronze.Is the brass one a ground?If so that might be my trouble all along.I removed coil cover and painted that area,and the brass screws got painted

OK all: the guide pins,and brass screws are a ground for the coils.I got paint on mine,it should clear my no full throttle problem when I clean them today

Nice. Good job on finding the problem. I cant remember the last time working on the m104(it was about 2 years ago, i was going spark plugs on a r129 sl320) but i remember there was a ground point in between one coil and spark plug wire (i think it was between cylinder 3&4) i remember it giving me a headache because it was stripped.

yes they have them at every coil location,a spring clip and brass coil.The coils have a spring in them to attach to ground.
