That's what I heard too but I went for drilled anyway because in case of rain they seem to dry faster and collect less water or at least that's what I understand using drilled rotors. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Joe I think any known brand of DOT 4 brake fluid will do the job. I have always been advised not to use DOT 5 but I've never understood why even if I've always thought about it.
I know it's not that much of advise but that's all I know about brake fluids.
