Contacted the dealer yesterday and they said yes to the SBC reservoir being covered. Will drop off on Saturday and see what gets replaced. Hoping it is the complete unit, not just the reservoir. Will post results.
Update: Dealer only intends to replace the SBC pressure reservoir, not the complete control unit. That's fine, although I expect I'll return before too long for the complete control unit when it reaches end of life.

That's typical. MBUSA makes them return all parts replaced under warranty and will sometimes check samples. If they find a dealership replacing parts that are not defective, they can refuse to pay for the warranty service. Since the SBC pump itself is not faulty, they won't replace it. Look at it this way, when it does reach EOL and has to be replaced, you'll get another "free" car wash!
