First of all thanks to everyone who is helping me with my brake light switch replacement. I have the old brake light switch almost out except for one set of wires. The larger of the two plugs disengaged easily. The last hang up is my inability to remove one small plug on the bottom that has a thin yellow and red wire leading to the switch. It will not unplug. I do not want to pry it out with a screw driver and break it. Is this plug locked somehow? Is there a clip somewhere on this little black square that needs to be released first?

Thanks again...Mike

I replied to your PM. As I said, I can't really remember, but I probably disconnected switch first from holder, then pried the plugs off with small flat screwdriver.

BTW, when you install the new switch, be sure to pull plunger out as far as it will come (it is ratcheted). Then while installing it in holder, hold brake pedal lever down so plunger does not contact it. Then let go of brake and it will self adjust the plunger.
