Brake Light Switch Issues?

I have had an intermittent issues with ESP light, Tyre Pressure monitoring Inactive and Brake Lamp Fault lights all coming on together on my W245 B150 Auto, once these faults are generated it puts the car into limp mode. Stopping the car , taking the key out and then restarting usually solves the problem, but it has been getting more and more frequent recently. I have had the car code read and the error code is 44A0) - Check component S9/1 (stop lamp switch). The garage replaced the switch and for a few days the problem seemed to get a little better, although it has now returned. Back to the garage on the code reader again and it has kicked out the same code for the brake lamp switch. I have been advised to buy a genuine Mercedes brake switch due to Mercedes having sensitive electrics, they believe this may resolve the problem. Failing that a new ESP module is the next step. Would be interested in your thoughts as to what could possibly be causing this electrical fault with my car. Thank you

Update, so the genuine Mercedes brake light switch for my w245 came but it doesn't fit, the connection is the wrong shape?.... I have ended up modifying it by cutting half of the bottom edge off so that the switch now fits into the wiring harness, the car is now operating much better, so far no more alarms, fingers crossed this has resolved it!
