Excellent Bleeder Review by HiTekRedneck

Been flushing all my vehicles and converting to synthetic brake fluid. Without this tool I'd probably change my mind and leave well enough alone. It makes bleeding brakes as easy as it gets.

Works Great, Use it almost daily Review by ASE Tech

Finally a tool that does what it claims Review by Blake Marquette

I rebuilt the rear jaybrake master cylinder on my Harley and got real tired of trying to get it to bleed out.. Probably because the caliper is actually a bit higher than the top of the master cylinder.
After talking to a few other members of BikersCredo.com Social networking for Bikers Adult Biker Community site! I decided to try a power Bleeder... The reviews here helped me to decide on this paticular one..
In About 15 minutes I was back on the road.. The only minor problem I had was trying to get a wrench on the bleeder with the hose fitting attached but no big deal I made it work...
definately worth the price... guess I should mention that I was a certifed master auto tech for 12 years and never felt the need for a power Bleeder before.. So I am not one of those guys that just has to have a tool for every single thing..

Wow! Buy This! Review by Jeff d

If you have a compressor and ever need to flush/bleed brakes this makes it so much easier and more effective. I've used the hand vacuum pumps before and they're worthless compared to this. You can flush/bleed each caliper in about 30-45 seconds without stopping to check the fluid level in the master cylinder.

It keeps the master cylinder reservoir filled while you're bleeding the calipers/wheel cylinders so you don't have to worry about constantly topping it off. It works just like one of those dog water bowls that you put the 2 liter bottle in. You screw the bottle into the appropriate sized plastic support "cage" (Based on the vehicle's reservoir cap size) and screw the outlet down to the desired level. Then just open the 1/4 turn valve to allow the fluid to flow out of the bottle and into the reservoir and the correct level will be maintained as long as the bottle has fluid in it.

It moves a lot of fluid quickly through the braking system so you get a really good "flushing" effect compared to traditional bleeding methods.

You can also pull the rubber bleeder valve tip off and suction out the old fluid from the reservoir before you start and avoid having to pull all of the dirty fluid through the system. For that matter you could probably use it to suction out small volumes (1 qt at a time or so) of other fluids too if needed.

If I had to find something to complain about it would be the noise of the compressed air escaping. If you're going to use it for a while hearing protection would be a good thing.

Good, and Fast brake bleeder Review by Michael W.

Bought this to keep handy around the home shop. I ride sportbikes, and autocross cars as a hobby, and if you want to get the most out of your car or bike, one thing you need to keep in good shape is your brake system. This brake bleeder works so well, and so fast, that after using it on my motorcycle and noticing a positive difference, I suggested to my friends we try it on theirs. It improved everyone's brake lever feel and modulation, in a matter of minutes. Highly suggested.

I have been using one for 3 years now, great cheaper alternative. Very rarely do I bleed brake the old fasion way. I broke my first one and have now replaced it. The trick with any vacuum bleeder os to put silicone grease or dielectric greas around the base of the fitting to seal it up, it is much easier for the vacuum to suck air around the fitting threads then it is to suck the fluid through the line. I have been very happy with mine and saved me some money over buying one from one of the tool trucks. Oh and of course the filler bottle will not work when the master cylinder is under the cowl! Is that the tools fault or the person buying to the tool? The cowl comes of in about 10 minutes anyway.

Works Great Review by Anthony

This worked great on my 65 Galaxie, but this might not pull fluid through on newer cars because they could have valves within the sytem that do not allow fluid to be pulled through. This beat griot's garage price easily. Be sure to clean this out when done using.

Does not fit Dodge Grand Caravan. No suction. Review by Jeff

Filler bottle and its adapters do not fit the Dodge Grand Caravan master cylinder. The cylinder on the Dodge is buried under the cowl / wipers, with zero clearance for the bottle.
So I decided to "live without the bottle" and continue on.

I could not get it to develop enough suction to pull fluid through the brake lines. I fiddled with the bleeder / rubber fitting assuming there was not an air tight tight fit. I finally began pumping the brake pedal, saw there was a tight fit, (Fluid flowed, without leaking) but still no suction.

I bled the system using the old-fashioned two-man method.

Returning this tomorrow (Sep., 2010).

Awesome Product Review by Ken

This thing works great! I've tried many other so called "One Man Brake Bleeders" without much success however, this one works exactly as stated. Flushed and bled the entire system in about 15 minutes. Couldn't be happier.

Doesn't work Review by Steven Altus

Does not develop enough suction to pull fluid through the brake lines. 2 stars only because the filler bottle worked ok, but I can see how it could be improved as well. Move the valve up so it doesn't hit the master cylinder when in the on position or have it swing upward instead of downward to open. When full the bottle tends to want to fall over. As a result I could only fill it half way so that it wouldn't be too top heavy.

The bleeder itself is not powerful enough to pull fluid on it's own. It could pull the fluid in the caliper and that was it, then it just sucked air from around the rubber fitting attached to the bleeder screw. When combined with a person pressing on the brake pedal it worked and helped get the job done, but it does not perform as advertised.

Did not work for me... Review by Dan B

After reading all the other 5 star reviews, I purchased this tool to bleed my clutch hydraulic system on a 1990 Nissan 240SX. I agree that the filler bottle is a great idea to circumvent continually checking and filling the master cylinder reservoir, but the vacuum part of the kit was worthless and would not develop enough suction to lift even a single ply of tissue paper. Initially I assumed a clogged tube, but that was not the case, since I could blow through the tube(s) with no impedance. After screwing around for the better part of an hour, I gave up and returned it to the store. I was going to try another one, but after looking at it, it appeared identical to the one I just returned, so I returned home and my wife and I bled the system using the old-fashioned two-man method - worked great!
Two Thumbs down for me!

Works great Review by David

I read the reviews and decided to buy one. Easy to use, works great and it's fast. My unit was missing the 40" hose, called the store and they mailed one out that day and I recevied it the next. Thanks to the Columbia, Mo store manager.
I had spent alot of time trying to bleed the brakes on a 4runner and had no luck, with this bleeder it took less then 30 minutes.

It works Review by ceng

I have quite a few brake bleeder tools, and rated this one the best. if you have an air compressor, buy this bleeder, it works extremely well. The fluid reservoir bottle is a great idea, no need to constantly check the master cyclinder brake fluid level, it automatically fill to the right level.

DOT is the heat rating of brake fluids, and their ability to withstand heat, in wet and dry modes. Boiling point is higher with higher DOT markings.

Thus, the brake fluid you are using is advanced and will endure higher resistance to temperatures.

Boiling points are set by % of water in the braking system.

DOT-4 is better than DOT-3.
But don't use DOT-5, it is for racing only. While it can take very high temperature, it is NO GOOD at the brake temp we normally encounters.
