Does anyone know if it's possible to just replace the brake calipers with the AMG ones?

Or must we replace the whole assembly.

I don't know if its bothering anyone else, but the stock color of our brake calipers (faded black or grey) is really bothering me...

What color are they on the AMG? I have seen some on one of the Mercedes SUV's that are bright red. Sweet.
As for your question, . . .im not sure but since we both think the standard ones are kinda boring, I will ask the dealer the next time I am in.

They are silver with black letters "AMG". Rotors are vented, slotted and drilled. Here's a photo.

I regret painting calipers on an M-Sport BMW red. Unless calipers are real Brembos which are usually red or you are driving a Ferrari, I think the imitation red that one now often sees on rice burners is a fad that will quickly fade. My experience is that aftermarket paint will not be hard enough to keep brake dust from imbedding into the paint which will quickly become blackened and look shoddy.
