Bought some Clear Corners, A new hood star, and a grille kit off of eBay

cool, thats gonna give your car an updated look. did you get the one piece clear corner lense or the 2 piece? i bought mine off Ebay awhile ago, pictured was the one piece but they sent me the two piece. The 2 piece is the one with the reflector lense, the one piece doesnt have the reflctor.

Thanks. The one I bought had the 2 piece on it. I like the 2 piece better. I hope I get the two piece. Which ones do you guys like more?

Why are you getting a new hood star? Has the other gone dull? Also I would not go overboard on the grill perhaps go for the s600 look.

Also are the 2 bit ones the ones that show no orange, if so those are the ones I like best.

yea. my old star was faded, and the blue lining was peeling off. The two bit ones have no orange. However, it still flashes orange.

In regards to the Grille, Yeah, I did kinda want an S600 grille, but at the same time, I wanted something a little different, ya know?

But at the same time, I want to get a blacked out grille.[^]

yeah i remember you wanted to get a new hood star, when mine broke i had no choice but to get a new one, i got it off Ebay as well. Its boxed in original mercedes box and everything, but the fitment wasnt perfect, maybe mine got some defect or something, i cant turn it all the way, just half way to make it tight. Dont force it if its not gonna turn at ease. you cars gonna look similar to mine.

nope its on there pretty tight, just can't turn the bottom all the way like the one i removed but its tight. It looks much brighter than the old one, especially at night with the street light shining on it. i am not too sure about the grille kit, i hope it will not peel off after time. thats the only thing i worry about.

Now this is most interesting. I like the clear turn signals. My Sebastian still has the amber ones. So you say you purchased them on ebay? What site were they and what cost? And you said they appear clear until they blink and then they are amber? Sounds great. Thanks for the help. [8D]

woops my clear corners are very white, I dont know the exact colour of amber but I think mine are not. Oh well the cops have not said anything so what the hell.

well Nz Benz,
Mine existing ones are white, except an orange reflector inside.
The ones I am getting are the same, except that reflector is clear, the new ones are clear corners.[]

however, you should look around for the best deal, because sometimes, there are better deals.

However, I did not buy my clear corners from him, I bought them from this seller, acemotors700, (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-9...ewItemQQcategoryZ33708QQitemZ8055911151QQrdZ1), and the only reason being, is because, I also bought clear corners for my 1989 W126 560 SEL, and when you buy two or more items from certain sellers, they can give you a discount on the shipping, therefore making it an overall cheaper product.

I know that these Clear Corners look very good on the W140, and I have wanted them for quite a while now.

By the way everyone, the W126 in the backround of the gas station pic is mine as well. Both cars need to be filled up today.

I still have not received my W140 Grille Kit, nor my W126 clear corners. I will update when I get them.

yea, I know. I haven't received the W126 ones yet. The seller got confused, and sent them out in a separate box. Hopefully they will come soon.
