I recently purchased a simoniz orbital polisher at Canadian Tire. Is their any special tecniques or precatuions i should take before using it on my car.

Specs:
10" random-orbit polisher/waxer

Double-ring handle with on/off switch gives added control when waxing or polishing

Friction-resistant 10" cushioned foam pad is ideal for trim work and curved panels

High-impact, heat-resistant ABS housing for added strength

120V magnet motor delivers a powerful 2,600 oscillations per minute

Blow-moulded carrying case and extra-long 2 metre cord

With plastic-lined terry-cloth wax applicator and 2 cotton polishing bonnets

Thanks

Just make sure to apply the polish sparingly and wet the pad. Keep the pad clean so you don't scratch the paint. I saw the photos of your car and wow, that baby shines.

You shouldnt have wasted your money on the Simoniz 10" unit. Not worth the cheap plastic it is made of. And actually its not an orbital. Its a random orbital.

If you can still get your money back, do it and invest in a good piece if equipment like a Porter Cable dual action polisher. A model 7424 or 7336.

But get a good set of pads like the ones you can find at www.properautocare.com
