Any idea how to get in touch with Bob Platz?
I emailed him photos of the 1970 se I need restoring after seeing the one he restored posted here and left voicemails too but no response?
Is he too busy or just hard to get hold of?

Any other New Jersey/NYC restoration shop recommendations would be appreciated

Thanks

Well if one tries really hard to get in touch with someone and they never respond, then that is not the kind of person I want to do any kind of business with.

The car has been stripped to bare metal with soda blasting, had a few bits of welding done and then painted.
Interior has had new carpet to replace the threadbare one.
New exhaust, tires, rechromed rear fender.

Will restore the front seats at some point as they are just a little worn, the headliner needs replacing just because it has a couple of quarter size holes in and the engine could be romoved, polished etc but all these things are not really an issue on a car that will be used regularly in a family with 4 teenage kids.

Bob was probably too much of a perfectionist anyway for what we wanted. Am happy to have a car that is completely mechanicaly and body/chrome sound. If someone wants to turn it into a show car years from now, then it won't have deteriorated while we had it.

Still, spent just over $20k on saving it from future rust and disrepair!
