I have a 2012 GL450 with the COMMAND system for the stereo and phone. I have a Samsung S22 and it connects to the bluetooth fine. However after a short time on a call (various, could be 10 seconds, could be 30 seconds), it seems to go into silent mode. I can't hear the other person on the call, but they can typically hear me. Sometimes it'll come back in for a few moments, then back out.

I've only had the car for less than a year and had an S9 before this summer... I don't recall it happening before, but maybe it did.

Anyone else experience something like this with a newer phone, have heard of this, or ideas on how to diagnose or fix?

Hello. That's pretty normal on those cars. I have the same problem. It has to do with the Bluetooth driver that the command center will not update since they stopped supporting it or it reached it's EOL, according to MB Corporate.

You can do two things. Upgrade your whole command center to a android based setup. It's something you can do yourself or have a car shop do it. Both will work. Second thing is you can try to get an aux connector that fits in your glovebox and see if that helps. You can go with a few different companies and see which works best. GL.

Thanks, StenoPete1911. Are there recommended Android systems that take advantage of everything in the car (speakers, backup camera, etc.) and that fit/look good installed? Less about the system and more about cosmetic install kits/trim to make it a nice, almost OEM install look.

Hello. There are couple of choices. You could go with the chinese brand off of ebay or stick to a brand name. Choice is yours. Either one you go with, it will be a nice addition and it will stop your connectivity issues.
