Hi all,

On my 2014 ML63 AMG that I just bought, when starting the vehicle, the Bluetooth audio/music streaming does not automatically connect. The phone/calling feature of bluetooth connects just fine. But if I want to listen to music, I have to go to Audio and click "Connect to Last Device" (because it is not connected), then it finally hooks up. It's obviously recognizing my phone. Why are these two connecting separately and why does the audio not automatically connect? My 2011 E350 does not have this issue. Both phone and audio hook up simultaneously without issue.

Thanks!

What happens if you simply start playing music on your phone? Let's say using YouTube Music, Soundcloud or other similar app? In my car, if I do that then in a few seconds the music does come through the car speakers, regardless of whether upon car startup the phone only initially connected to phone-calling features and not media.

I haven't tried that yet. I'll try it tomorrow.

What I did notice was - if the screen is already on the Audio page when starting up, it will connect the media aspect of the phone. If it's on any other page (phone, navi, etc.) and I switch to the Audio page, the phone is not connected. So strange.

By the way; do you experience the same thing that I am describing? It sounds like you do.

I had identical problem for months after I replaced my phone. Same phone iPhone 11.
I went into the phone menu on the command and I think I got it to load my address book or contacts. After I did that it worked perfectly as it always did. Give it a try. It’s a pain in the ass when it’s happening.
