My 92 300E blower stopped working. Checked all the fuses including the extra one for the blower. (Yes, also checked for corrosion) Getting 12v to the blower fuse. However, I noticed my power antenna is also not working, but the radio is. I can't find anything else not working. Could the blower and antenna be related? Could the blower problem be anything other than a bad blower or blower resistor?

the blower is probably bad brushes or regulator or maybe even the CCU.  The antenna is probably the control box that is slid onto the top part of the antena unit.  They are not on the same fuse.  Use a multimeter across the external fuse in the engine compartment for the blower dont just look at it.  Its aluminium and you cant see if its bad.  The motor in the antenna normally doesnt go bad the up/down controller normal gets water drooled on it and shorts out.  I got a replacement at the bone yard, better than paying 200 dollars for a new one.

Thanks for the info. I don't think they are related either. Must just be coincidence. I will get to my blower and figure out whether it is the brushes or fan regulator or what. Right now I am working on the ac of my son's 190e.

Its pretty to test the motor when you remove the plastic around it from the engine compartment area. The easiest way is to see if your getting proper power there first. There are 3 wires directly behind brake booster 1 lead should be 12V when on Hi, one wire on auto should vary about 4V when on. If you dont have that is a fuse issue. If you do its regulator or brushes.

A/C issues are frustrating. Its normally a leak that stops it from working (normally condensor) and then moisture gets in and ruins the rest. Not worth the money to fix for most of us It would be cheaper to get another MB. I was lucky enough that a little stop leak took care of my issue. I know I know its not the right way but for my poor behind it was the way to go. 2000 is way to much to do the job right.
