Tomorrow as soon as I get out of the office I'm hitting the road and driving 1000 miles straight. From Tucson to southern Idaho. I have the hard top on because of the cold weather once I leave the nice, warm desert. The forecast shows no snow or rain, so I think I'll make good time. Maybe not as good as the guys that ran the Canonball last week, but I do have a good radar detector and Trapster on my iphone and I use the ipad for traffic info. I put new wheels on recently and went with staggered 18" 8.5 and 9.5. What tire sizes are others using on their SLs? Right now I have 245/40/18 on the front and 275/35/18 on the rear. Yokohama.

Good time... Have a safe trip.....

About the tires..... You have the correct set up....

Another option is you could go with 285/35/18 on the rear......
