Bi-Xenon, Active curve illumination

Hi
Hope someone can help me with this. Have a 2005 W211 with bi-Xenon and active cornering lights. Swing function on both sides have very clearly stopped working. Have got this error message, "hdl cornering function not available" Have received a check and a printout of the error codes from workshop. Looks to be an electrical motor inside the housing on the right side. No spare part at mercedes but a new one could be bought for 1600 euros!!

Anybody know if it is possible to make a fix, open the light and order the right electrical motor part.?

I had one of my Active Headlights do the same and Steve had the part to repair the Headlight ...The headlights are easy to repair as I used a Heat gun to soften the sealer on the lens then replace the motor ....I Would recommend wearing gloves to do the repair so not to leave any finger prints on the reflector assy .....
