What's the best windshield wiper blade for use in the snow? Something firm enough to remove snow build up while driving, instead of flexing to skim over it. Seems challenging due to the length of our wiper blade.

My current blade is a Bosch Icon (per visual comparison to all wipers on the Bosch site). It is horrible in the snow. It is so flexible that it skims over snow built up under the outer half of the blade. That or ice freezes to its outer end, lifting it off the windshield. It's unusable.

Nobody makes wipers for ice. But you have heated fluid and some cars have heating pad on lower part of windshield.
I don't drive much in freezing temperatures, but stuff like Rain-x helps in keeping the windshield cleaner in all conditions.
Beware about directing max defrost on frozen windshield.
Did it once on Ford truck and the glass cracked from heat stress.

I just hit the windshield washer fluid if any build up occurs when driving heated fluid eliminates any build up

I am not in upper state NY though
