Best Seat Upholstery Vendor?

2331 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  4wdave
Hi. I was wondering who the best upholstery vendor was for r107 seats. I saw some that had zippers on the headrest instead of the clips (for example). They looked pretty janky. I heard some had fitment that was 'meh' at best.

Many thanks!

Yes, and German Auto Tops are worth considering as well - always worked out well.
I had terrible experience with them when I bought carpets. Very poorly made, not even close to fitting and no attempt to correct or compensate me. I had to modify the carpets myself. They also traded on eBay under Quality Tops and Interiors. Like a lot of companies, we only find out their true colors when things go wrong.

I bought my seat covers from World Upholstery 30 years ago! They traded under a different name back then. I had them installed by a local upholstery shop. Still good. Things may have changed, but the leather was heavy duty just like the originals. Unlike the leather that modern cars come with that is paper thin. I have bought other products from WU and they always seemed good to deal with.

For the perfectionists, this company may be of interest: Heritage Upholstery & Trim - Upholstery Products for Classic Cars I can't recall details, but I think they were out of my price range when I bought my convertible top.
