Best Seat Upholstery Vendor?

2334 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  4wdave
Hi. I was wondering who the best upholstery vendor was for r107 seats. I saw some that had zippers on the headrest instead of the clips (for example). They looked pretty janky. I heard some had fitment that was 'meh' at best.

Many thanks!

I got new front seat covers, backrest foam pads, and headliner for my '73 SLC from World Upholstery. Quality of materials and workmanship are superb!
A word of caution: if you don't know the history of your car, you may be surprised, as I was, to find that some prior owner replaced the front seat backs with those of "some other" model Mercedes. The seat back covers and foam pads didn't even come close to fitting my seat frames. After several months of back and forth, World Upholstery sent me to their recommended installer (Mac's Upholstery) in Ventura. Paul (Mac's) had to make two trips to World Upholstery to figure out what needed to be done. Finally got the covers and foam pads, but Paul still had to cut and weld the seat back frames to fit the foam pads.
Anyway, the seat covers look great -- and are super comfortable!
