Good evening gents,

I have a 74 450SE with 83k miles that I adore. As the heater valve is stuck open and the ac/ compressor does not work too great, driving it in the summer is a no go unless you want to sweat your butt off. I've been thinking for some time about trading it for a R107 coupe/convertible. Most sellers want cash instead of a straight up trade.

At this point, I have not made any commitments and want to get a general idea what everyone's experiences selling are. Thanks!

It's gorgeous. Any rust? Get the issues fixed and sell her on Bring a Trailer or whatever higher end auction type thing you have.

I'd keep her though, very nice car.

When it comes to selling your car, there are several options available to you, including private sales, trade-ins, and this sell your car OC. Private sales may offer the highest return, but it also requires more effort on your part, such as advertising the car, meeting with potential buyers, and negotiating the sale. Trade-ins are more convenient, but they may not offer the best value for your car. Selling to a dealership is also an option, but they may offer even less than a trade-in value.
