The poor benz needs a new star on the hood, and on the trunk

can anybody recommend a good ebay seller to buy one off? Don't want some cheap plastic chinese knockoff, but quality chrome

Get them from MB directly. They are cheap, $12.00 for the trunk and like 25 for the hood.

Yes, check with your local dealership. Not all items are super expensive... many are actually reasonably priced. Some items on ebay are more expensive than whats offered at the dealership.

I bought an EOM Hood star on Ebay and it was as cheaper than one from the dealer. I thought it might be a knock off, but it came in EOM packaging still sealed in the plastic bag with the right part number. I have a couple Gen II and one Gen I trunk stars(3 pins= Gen II, Bolt type/Nut= Gen I). all EOM, but purchased for a pittance off Ebay.
