Aloha guys, So unfortunately I will have to have my Panzer Wagen parked outside in the Honolulu elements for a few months. I have looked at several different car cover brands and have searched on here for some threads, but not much luck. Just wanted some personal opinions, even though I realize most guys have their vehicles garaged.
Thanks guys...

I asked the same question and most folks recommend leaving it out in the elements over covering it to trap dirt and moisture. I bought a 35 dollar cover in ebay. ( I never had to leave the car out in the end because I figured out how to squeeze two cars in the garage.)

Thanks Fonzi but I only drive it once a week on the weekend so I want to keep it covered. Gonna get a clear ceramic tint that's 99.9% UV and 60% infrared (heat blocking) to protect her while shes out side too.

Get a regular car cover that also "breathes". The ones that are fully sealed will retain moisture and you don´t want that. Make sure you take it out for a spin frequently also :D

Ok, I'll cut you a bit of slack ! I put my 107 outside in Washington for a couple of years and it melted ! Be sure you check under the floor mats often, watch the trunk floor. Especially around the antenna ! Make sure in good weather you open it up and dry it out. Check my and Werners 107 rust repair threads. Be afraid my friend, be very afraid !

I'm on Maui, I have a Polynesian Polehouse, mine has been sitting under the house with no garage for 32 years. I always keep it covered and especially when I've had to park in a lot for a day. I'm one mile from the ocean. Have had several car covers, cheapo to expensive over all those many years. They all claim a soft nap on the inside is critical, I know that's hype as its all in your head. I'm currently using a Tyvek white cover with Gust Guards since we are always having to deal with the trade winds here. The lightweight, breath-ability, waterproofness and featherweight light handling sold me. Plus they are much easier to wash and dry when they get funky from all the dust. I thought the reasonable cost would mean I would be giving up something, but not so, I like it the best of half a dozen car covers I've gone through over the years.

Aloha MauiSL,
Yeah waterproof and breath-ability plus UV is definitely what I'm looking for, I'll check out Tyvek,
Mahalo
