For online purchases I prefer Autohaus AZ or Peach Parts, I have ordered several things from both of them and they have all been the correct parts, and functioned perfectly.

nice car! my 2nd favorite color after white. Almandine red is it? as you will pull down the head you might as well replace the chain and its accompanying accessories to take advantage of the downtime.

regards,

I use Autohaus AZ and am happy except for the 7-8 day wait for my parts. My 93 190 2.3 blew its head gasket at about the same mileage as yours.
I replaced the gasket-set, head bolts and washers, and the upper timing chain guide only. My timing chain tensioner was replaced years earlier, so I reused that. Mine never overheated, so I just cleaned the surfaces only, and put it back together. 14 months later and the coolant level is exactly the same. And my oil consumption is much better. I'm happy with adding a quart every 2,000-2,500 miles.
New exaust manifold nuts too.
And my coolant was going into the engine so my cooling system was clean. If your oil was going into your cooling system, then that contaminates the cooling system. This makes more of a mess, that I did not have to deal with.

PartsGeek.com
AutohausAZ.com
AutopartsWay.com

Are ones that I use. APW is usually cheaper than the other two.

SAME color as mine. Very nice color! :D

+1 for AZ Autohaus and I am pretty picky about parts brand. I may use a few other sources like the stealership (with my MBCA discount)depending on what I need. I have used partsgeek, parts.com and some from Napa but I really try to keep to the OEM vendors and the 1st thing I look at when I get them is where they were made!

Parts.com is awesome. When you buy Mercedes products from there, they're actually from Mercedes-Benz of Naperville, IL and ship from either the IL or NJ Mercedes warehouse or if need be from Germany. Always excessive packaging though.
