Hey guys,

I know Mercedes recommends Chevron's Techron, is that correct?

Anyone prefer another injector cleaner? How ofter is it safe to run this stuff in my 2008 E350 4-matic?

I use to have TDI VW and used Diesel Kleen. It seemed to work well.
There are several CDI owners in lots of the forums here that use it.
It raises cetane levels and makes for cleaner burning and better burning
when from dead cold starts.

I have used Liqui Moly diesel purge or Diesel Kleen on all of my diesels. Seems to work well, People swear to Liqui Molly but I can't see difference.

Yes, Techron is recommended, and available on Amazon in bottles of concentrate. The procedure is on the bottle and requires getting the tank to empty twice and only a partial intervening refill.

If you use a Top Tier gasoline, additional cleaning may not be necessary. If you do use Techron concentrate, do not use more than twice between oil changes, and the second time should be close to just before the oil change, so the oil with the inevitable contaminant absorbed will be replaced.
