Right now I have a 1983 300sd, Sage Green with a Palomino interior. The paint is missing in many spots as the PO neglected it, and it needs repainted. I am thinking of doing black, or a color similar to anthracite grey. Any suggestions as to what paint color will go well with a Palomino interior? Thanks!

^^^Henry Ford said that about the original model T

Garnet or Almandine red, and dark blue, as well as black are nice colors that would look well on your model, and were seen with palomino interiors.

I personally would prefer to repaint in original colors (for originality and dislike of the look of door jambs or other parts you might be able to see, in other colors.)
Get the car prepped as well as you can, that is really important.

But I don't like the thistle green color either though. Like petrol blue, it wasn't that popular.

Had a black car once. Never again will it be a colour of choice for me. Too hard to keep clean. Not sure what colour a sage green is exactly but a blue, a Hunter green, or a nice deep burgundy red would look pretty cool though with that palamino interior.

I have black over palomino and no question it is a classic combination. Black looks great when clean, but that lasts about 1 hour around here. Dust, pollen, all airborne stuff is very noticeable on black. Why not repaint the green color? It's much rarer than black.
