Are all bench seats wired with heating elements? I just took mine out and there are two sets of wires coming out of them, not connected though

Not all of them. If you see two wires coming out each seat piece with two molex pins on them its for the seat heater.
edit: do you have the switch on the rear doors for the heated rear seat?

two wires, but no switches for it on the door.
sounds like you have seat heaters... Weird. The SD has a heated rear seat bottom and back. But it was never equipped to have heated seats. I know that the previous owner swapped them in. the car had mbtex factory and has replacement leather now.

Every seat I've seen so far has the wires. Its whether the car has the wiring and switches or not that makes it "complete". I've yet to see the seats without the wires in them, and one of my cars doesn't have the heated seat option.
I have. My very first w126 didn't have heated seats front or rear. The rear seat back and bottom did not have seat heaters nor did the doors have switches.
